Your trail report from SCMTA members!
Trail 41 North and South are groomed and in good condition.
Trail 2 East is groomed and in good condition.
Trail 413 is in good shape.
Trail 7 North is also riding well.
Snow conditions are a bit sugary, which is expected with the cold temperatures. The recent cold stretch has really helped get our trails into great shape overall.
Bear Creek Swamp remains closed until further notice.
One of our machines experienced some unexpected maintenance issues. We appreciate your patience as we get it repaired and back out on the trails soon.

*IMPORTANT BEAR CREEK SWAMP UPDATE*

*IMPORTANT TRAIL INFO*
We are making the decision that Bear Creek swamp on UP2 is closed until further notice. Earlier this week we had a rider stuck in open water due to the lack of a good freeze in the area. With the upcoming temperature rise we do not expect it to get solid enough anytime soon.
M-28 Towing was thankfully able to assist the stuck rider and shared some pictures of the trail with us that you can find below. Contact them at (906) 202-3949 or visit https://m28towingandrecovery.com/ for more info.
We do have an alternative trail in place to get through the area still. Unfortunately it does not take you directly to another groomed trail, so be sure to check you are allowed to ride your chosen path.
Checkout the map at the top of this page for the UP2 trail closure and reroute.
You can also find the “UP2 Reroute” gpx file located here, just download it and insert it into your favorite app
